Sutton, Bermel Set to Compete in the 2019 National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship

Pt. St. Lucie, Florida – Iowa PGA Associates Davis Sutton and Jacob Bermel will compete in the 2019 National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship this weekend at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The tournament is set to tee off on Thursday, November 14 on the Wanamaker Course.

A field of 132 players will compete in the four-day, 72-hole event that concludes on Sunday, November 17. PGA Assistant Professionals and all registered associates attempted to earn berths through their local PGA Sections. The field includes all 41 Assistant PGA Professional Section champions.
 
This week’s champion, if eligible, will earn a berth in the 2020 PGA Professional Championship, which is slated for April 26-29 at the Fazio Foothills and Coore Crenshaw Cliffside Courses at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas.
 
The Iowa PGA’s National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Champion, Davis Sutton, will tee off at 12:24 pm (ET) on Thursday and 8:09 am (ET) on Friday. Sutton is an assistant Professional at the Cedar Rapids Country Club.  Bermel is set to tee off at 12:51 pm (ET) and 8:36 am (ET) respectively for the first two rounds. Bermel is an assistant Professional at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  The Iowa PGA will be providing updates throughout the weekend on its social media pages.
