Round One Results of the 2022 PGA Professional Championship
Austin, Texas – The Iowa PGA has five Iowa PGA Professional’s competing in the 2022 PGA Professional Championship on April 17-20, 2022 in Austin, Texas at the OMNI Barton Creek. Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course, Jeff Schmid of Brown Deer Golf Club, Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club, Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club and Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course.
McCarty’s first round he carded birdies on holes 6, 8, 9 and 15 including bogeys on holes 2 and 16 which placed him tied for 31st place. McCarty’s one-day total 33-36=69, -2 on the Fazio Foothills Course.
Schmid’s first round he carded birdies on holes 12, 16 and 17 including bogeys on holes 2 and 6 which placed him tied for 55th place. Schmid’s one-day total 36-33=69, -1 on the Coore Crenshaw Cliffside Course.
Proehl’s first round he carded birdies on holes 2, 5, 15 and 18 including bogeys on holes 10, 11 and 14 which placed him tied for 55th place. Proehl’s one-day total 33-37=70, -1 on the Wanamaker Course.
Giannetto’s first round he carded birdies on holes 4, 12 and 15 including bogeys on holes 6, 8 and 10 which placed him tied for 77th place. Giannetto’s one-day total 36-35=71, E on the Fazio Foothills Course.
Black’s first round he carded birdies on holes 7 and 12; bogeys on holes 9 and 13 including double bogeys on holes 6 and 10 which placed him tied for 212th place. Black’s one-day total 36-38=74, +4 on the Coore Crenshaw Cliffside Course.
