Proehl, Schmid Set for KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

RIVERSIDE, Iowa – Iowa PGA members, Chad Proehl and Jeff Schmid will play in the 2019 KitchenAid 80th Senior PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY this weekend May 23-26.

Urbandale native, Proehl will be teeing off hole #1 at 1:45 p.m. (ET) on Thursday. His Friday round begins on hole #10 at 8:35 a.m. (ET). Brown Deer Professional Schmid will be competing in his second consecutive PGA Championship back-to-back weekends. His tee time for Thursday is at 12:35 p.m. (ET) on hole #1 and on Friday he will start at 7:25 a.m. (ET) off the back nine on hole #10.

“This tournament will be a breath of fresh air compared to the PGA Championship at Bethpage”, Schmid said. “I can’t even describe how difficult the PGA Championship was, it was so long. So I think the Senior PGA will still be a monster itself, its got to be easier. I think Bethpage was really good preparation.”

On Thursday and Friday, the Golf Channel will have live coverage from 1:00-4:00 p.m. (ET). On Saturday, NBC will have coverage from 3:00-6:00 p.m. (ET). For the final round on Sunday, the Golf Channel and NBC will hone the live TV coverage from 3:00-6:00 p.m. (ET).
