Proehl, Giannetto Shoot 60 to Lead the PGA Senior-JuniorTeam Championship

Pt. St. Lucie, Florida – Iowa PGA Members Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club shot a first-round 60 to lead the PGA Senior-Junior Team Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida contested on the Ryder Course.
Proehl and Giannetto eagled three of the four par-5’s in their round of twelve-under par 60.  Their round included those three eagles, seven birdies and a lone bogey on hole #9 to take a one-shot lead over the competition.  Proehl and Giannetto will start their second round at 11:50 am EST on the Dye Course.
 
Dave Ranney of Lamoni Golf & Country Club and Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club fired a round of five-under par 67 on the Ryder Course to sit in a tie for 43rd place.  Their round included an eagle, four birdies and one lone bogey.  They birdied holes 16, 17 and 18 to close out the day.  The pairing starts round two on the Dye Course at 9:50 am EST.
