Proehl, Giannetto Finish T20 at Senior-Junior Team Championship

Port St. Lucie, Iowa – The Iowa PGA team of Chad Proehl and Jay Giannetto finished T20 at the Senior-Junior Team Championship with a tournament total of 17-under-par 271.

The final round took place on the Wanamaker Course on Thursday. Proehl and Giannetto started slow in the final round but carded back-to-back birdies on Nos. seven and eight to make the turn at 1-under-par 35. Their strong front nine finish carried over to the back nine as the duo recorded three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 16th hole. Proehl and Giannetto finished the final round at 5-under-par 67.

The Iowa PGA duo carded four straight rounds in the 60s and two 67s in the Senior-Junior Team Championship. Their first round featured a 5-under-67 on the Ryder Course. They followed up their first round with a 4-under-par 68 on the Wanamaker Course and carded a 3-under-par 69 on the Dye Course in round three.

Proehl and Giannetto combined for 23 birdies, 40 pars, eight bogeys and one eagle in four days at the PGA Golf Club. They reached as high as T8 on the leaderboard and climbed three spots in the final round to finish T20 for the tournament.
