PGA’s National Club Championship

Pinehurst, North Carolina- The Iowa PGA had four Amateur contestants from our Iowa PGA Member facilities competing in the 2021 PGA National Club Championship. This is an invitation only tournament made up of 2020 Club Champions. There were 48 states represented with 104 women/208 men playing in the Championship. This 3-day tournament was held on March 13-15 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The men competed on the courses #2, #6 and #8. The Women competed on the courses #6, #8 and #2.

Kate Froehmen of Waverly and Prairie Links Golf & Events Center (PGA Head Golf Professional, Nate Haaland) competed in the Women’s Division. Her 3-day total 96+108+101=305, +89 which placed her tied for 40th place.

Martin Golobic of Cedar Rapids Country Club (PGA Head Golf Professional, Todd Larson) competed in the Men’s Division. His 3-day total 84+86+86=256, +40 which placed him tied for 64th place.

Tom Norton of Geneva Golf & Country Club (PGA Head Golf Professional, Steve Hutton) competed in the Senior Men’s Division. His 3-day total 85+77+83=245, +29 which placed him tied for 37th place.

Janice Zeller of Cedar Creek Golf Course (PGA Head Golf Professional, Greg Wilson) competed in the Senior Women’s Division. Her 3-day total 91+105+105=301, +85 which placed her tied for 42nd place.
