McClintock Wins Iowa PGA Stroke Play
Newton, Iowa – Ryan McClintock of Short Hills Country Club won the Iowa PGA Stroke Play Monday, April 26 at Westwood Golf Course. McClintock turned in 2-under-par 69 to capture the win.
 
Iowa PGA Stroke Play were comprised of 18-hole individual event with competitions for the Open, Senior and Super Senior Divisions.
 
McClintock carded birdies on holes 9, 12 and 17 with a bogey on hole 13. Runner up Clark Smith of Kate Lord and Mark Atchison of Des Moines Golf & Country Club tied for second place with an Even-par 71. Smith carded birdies on holes 9, 10, 17 and 18 including bogeys on holes 3, 5, 12, 15, 17 and 18. Atchison carded birdies on holes 5, 9, 11, 12 and 18 including bogeys on holes 4, 6, 8, 10 and 14.
 
Senior Division winner Curt Schnell of Okoboji View Golf Course took home first place in the Senior Division with a 2-over-par 73. Schnell recorded birdies on holes 8, 9 and 16 with bogeys on holes 5, 7, 13, 14 and 15 in route to his victory. Bryan Haas of Blue Top Ridge and Dave Ranney of Lamoni Golf and Country Club tied for runner up with a 4-over par 75.
 
Super Senior Division winner Schnell took home first place in the Super Senior Division. Runner up Jim Henry of Ek Golf recorded 7-over par 78.
