McCarty on Team USA for 29th PGA Cup
RIVERSIDE, Iowa – The PGA of America announced Tuesday night that Iowa PGA member, Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club was named to Team USA for the 29th PGA Cup. McCarty and Team USA will face off against Club Professionals from Great Britain and Ireland, September 23-29, in Austin, Texas, at the Omni Barton Creek & Spa.
The 10-member U.S. Team in the biennial international showcase for PGA Club Professionals was determined through a two-year points system that includes the past two PGA Professional Championships and two PGA Championships.
The final two players, McCarty being one of them – clinched berths after final points were tabulated from the championships.
