Pleasant Hill, Iowa – Brian Lorenz of Spirit Hollow GC and his team of Brad Lorenz, Dan Luttenegger and Jim Butler won the 5th annual Wild Rose Casino & Resort Pro-Am Monday at the Copper Creek Golf Club.

Lorenz and his team recorded 18 quota points in the round to beat out Greg Dingel and his team by 6 points. Dingel’s team made up of Denny Dingel, Dan Knutson, and Dorin Gildermaster took second place with 16 quota points.

Larry Castagnoli, Life Memebrand and his team (Tim Taylor, Danny Trerotola and Tom Schill) recorded 11 quota points, which was good enough for a third-place finish.

In addition to the team event, today’s event featured an Open Division, Senior Division and Super Senior division for Iowa PGA Professionals and an individual amateur point quota event.

Dingel, Chad Proehl, Ben Montgomery, Judd Gibb, and Chris Black finished in a five-way tie for first place at 2-under-par 69 in the Open Division.

Dingel carded three birdies on the front to go along with his bogey-free back nine. Proehl recorded four birdies on the day to finish 2-under-par. Montgomery registered three birdies and went bogey-free on the front nine before carding a 1-over-par on the back nine. Gibb started 1-over-par on the front before streaking into the clubhouse with three birdies on the back nine. Black was solid all day recording a total of three birdies and only one bogey.

Curt Schnell and Ty Stewart finished T2 in the Open Division. Both Iowa PGA Professionals finished at 1-under-par 70, falling just one stroke shy of the five-way tie at the top of the leaderboard.

Proehl and Gibb’s 2-under-par 69 was good enough to win the Senior Division, beating out Schnell by one stroke.

Schnell took home the Super Senior Division, recording a 1-under-par 70. Schnell beat out Castagnoli by two strokes and Jeff Smith of Harvest Point GC by seven strokes. Smith shot 6-over-par 77 to take third place in the division.
