Giannetto leads team to Iowa PGA Pro Senior Title

Ames, Iowa – The Iowa PGA hosted the Pro-Senior at the Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames, IA on Monday, September 17th.

Head PGA Professional Jay Giannetto of the Elmwood Country Club coached his teammates of Pete Kelly, Rob Christensen and Tony Giannetto to a 4-point victory over host PGA Professional Greg Dingel’s team of Denny Dingel, Rich Balsley and Dorin Gildermaster in this Team Quota event.
 
Judd Gibb, PGA Teaching Professional from Lakeside Memorial Golf Course fired a round of 5-under par 67 to win the Open Division by two shots.  Head PGA Professional Sean McCarty of the Brown Deer Golf Course and Head PGA Professional/Owner Matt Erger of the Airport National Golf Course each shot 3-under par rounds of 69 to finish in a tie for 2nd place.
 
Gibb also captured the Senior Division Title while Okoboji View’s Head PGA Professional/Owner Curt Schnell finished in second place with an even-par round of 72.
 
Schnell won the Super Senior Division title over EK Golf’s Jim Henry who shot a round of one-over par 73.
