Butler/Giannetto/Stewart/Dinnebier win Team All-Pro
Ankeny, IA – The team of Joe Butler of Burlington Golf Club, Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club, Ty Stewart of the Hyperion Field Club and John Dinnebier of the Briarwood Golf Club shot a team total of 121 (-18) to win the Team All-Pro by eight shots at the Otter Creek Golf Course.
Teams were comprised of four Iowa PGA Professionals. 18-Hole Stroke Play, Team – 1 Best Ball of 4 on Par 5's, 2 Best Balls of 4 on Par 4's, 3 Best Balls of 4 on Par 3's. Teams were formed by the Iowa PGA Section Tournament Manager using the overall points list with A-B-C-D players.
The second-place team of Greg Dingel of Veenker Golf Course, Tracy Vest of Blue Top Ridge, Larry Castagnoli of Clive and Mike Hall of St. Andrews Golf Course finished with a team total of 129 (-10).
Tracy Vest of Blue Top Ridge shot a fine round of 64 (-7). Vest’s round included five birdies on the front nine on holes 2, 4, 5, 8 and 9. His back-nine included birdies on holes 11, 12 and 18 with a lone bogey on hole number 14. This mark’s Vest’s first tournament win of 2019 on the Iowa PGA Section Tour.
Ryan McClintock of Davenport Country Club and Jacob Kendig of Waverland Golf Course tied for 2nd place with fine rounds of 67 (-5).
John Dinnebier of Briarwood Golf Club recorded his first win in the Senior Division with a 5-under-par 66 edging out Bryan Luedtke (69) of Bunker Links Golf Course by three shots. Dinnebier made two birdies and one bogey on the front-nine. His back-nine was strong with birdies on holes 10, 12, 13 and 18.
Curt Schnell of Okoboji View Golf Course recorded his first win in the Super Senior Division with a 1-under-par 70 to edge out Larry Castagnoli of Clive by one shot. Schnell made three birdies and two bogeys in his round.
