2023 PGA Winter Championship – Senior Stroke Play Final Round-
Riverside, Iowa – Four of our Iowa PGA Professional’s Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course, Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf, Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and Life Member Dave Ranney are competing in the Senior Stroke Play ages 64 & Under at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Overall Group A (64 & Under) Chad Proehl finished in T2nd place, Judd Gibb finished in T12th place, Sean McCarty finished in T17th place and Dave Ranney finished in T40th place.
The Iowa PGA Professionals also compete within smaller age groups.
Ages 50-54 – Gibb & McCarty
Gibb’s final round he carded birdies on holes 7, 8 and 13; a bogey on hole 2 including a double bogey on hole 1. Gibb’s three-day rounds of 75-68-72=215, E-par, and placed him T6th.
McCarty’s final round he carded birdies on holes 13 and 16; an eagle on hole 1; bogeys on holes 10, 14 and 17 including a double bogey on hole 11. McCarty’s three-day rounds of 73-71-74=218, 3-over-par, and placed him T8th.
Ages 55-59 – Proehl & Ranney
Proehl’s final round he carded birdies on holes 4, 5, 8 and 15 including bogeys on holes 1 and 11. Proehl’s three-day rounds of 71-70-70=211, 4-under-par, and placed him T1st.
Ranney’s final round he carded birdies on holes 7, 13, 16 and 17; bogeys on holes 8 and 14 including double bogeys on holes 15 and 18. Ranney’s three-day total rounds of 79-79-74=232, 17-over-par, and placed him T40th.
