2021 PGA Winter Championship – Senior/Junior Team Final Round
Riverside, IA –Four days of straight play for six of our Iowa PGA Professionals who paired up as teams. Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club, John Bermel of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course and Adam Luehmann of Hillcrest Country Club and Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and Dave Ranney of Lamoni Golf and Country Club competed in the Senior/Junior Team Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida on January 18-21, 2021. This is a one best ball of two Team Championship.
Bermel and Luehmann carded birdies on holes 2, 8 and 14 including bogeys on holes 11 and 18 which placed them tied for 30th place after the final round of play. Bermel and Luehmann’s round four total 34-36=70, -1. Bermel and Luehmann’s four-day total is 65-63-71-70=269, -17.
Proehl and Giannetto carded birdies on holes 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 18 including a bogey on hole 4 which placed them tied for 21st place after the final round of play. Proehl and Giannetto’s round four total 33-31=64, -7. Proehl and Giannetto’s four-day total is 63-71-69-64=267, -19.
Ranney and McCarty carded birdies on holes 2, 4, 6, 9, 11 and 16 including a bogey on hole 15 which placed them tied for 37th place after the final round of play. Ranney and McCarty’s round four total 32-34=66, -5. Ranney and McCarty’s four-day total is 67-68-69-66=270, -16.
