2020 PGA Tournament Series
Event #4 – Four of our Iowa PGA Members competed December 10-11, 2020 in the PGA Tournament Series on the Ryder Course. Judd Gibb of Lakeside Municipal Golf Course, Jeff Schmid of Brown Deer Golf Club, Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course and Chris Black of Hickory Grove Golf Course all competed Thursday and Friday at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Gibb’s first round he carded birdies on holes 5, 10 and 17 including a bogey on hole 16 which placed him tied for 22nd place. Gibb’s second round he carded bogeys on holes 3, 7 and 18 including birdies on holes 6, 8, 13, 14 and 15 which placed him tied for 19th place. Gibb’s two-day total 69+69=138.
Schmid’s first round he carded birdies on holes 6, 9 and 14 including bogeys on holes 2, 3, 10 and 13 which placed him tied for tied for 47th place. Schmid’s second round he carded birdies on holes 2, 4 and 6 including bogeys on holes 9 and 15 which placed him tied for 38th place. Schmid’s two-day total 72+70=142.
Proehl’s first round he carded birdies on holes 4 and 6 including bogeys on holes 11, 16 and 17 which placed him tied for 47th place. Proehl’s second round he carded bogeys on holes 1, 5 and 10 including birdies on holes 6 and 11 which placed him tied for 55th place. Proehl’s two-day total 72+72=144.
Black’s first round he carded birdies on holes 2, 6, 9 and 17 including bogeys on holes 5, 10, 15 and 18 with a double bogey on hole 4 which placed him tied for 63rd place. Black’s second round he carded bogeys on holes 2, 9, 17 and 18 including a birdie on hole 6 which placed him tied for 72nd place. Black’s two-day total 73+74=147.
