The 2008 Iowa Cup Matches were held at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora, Iowa on May 8-9. This annual competition is comprised of a Ryder Cup style format where the top Iowa Section PGA Professionals play against the top Iowa Golf Association Amateurs.
The Iowa Section PGA team won their second straight Iowa Cup Matches by a score of 24.5 to 15.5 points. The first two rounds of team competition included Four-Ball and Foursome matches on Thursday, May 8th. Following the first two rounds, the professionals held a lead by only one point. The final round of the event consisted of singles matches where the Iowa Section PGA Professionals won by a score of 14 to 6.

Everything is good in Arkansas and retirement has agreed with both Kathy and myself.
I’ve found a place to hang my hat for about 15 hours a week and do some teaching. I’m at Diamante Golf Club here in the Village and enjoying every minute. Just enough to keep me in touch with golf and plenty of time to fish.
