Player-of-the-Year awards are given to one boy and girl in each of the following age divisions: Boys 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18, 18-21; and Girls 13 & Under, 14-15, 16-18, 18-21. The point totals will now be derived by adding the top six of the eight Major Point Events totals administered by the Iowa PGA and the top 5 highest point finishes in all other Junior Tour events played for each junior throughout the summer.   Junior Tour Player of the Year Award Winners are invited to attend and will be honored at the 2010 Iowa Section PGA Awards Luncheon in October.

If your birthdate falls between June 1st, and August 6th, 2010, you must declare which POY category you want to be eligible for.   If you choose the older age division, you must play in that division throughout the summer to accrue points in that division. If you choose the younger division you will accrue points in that division until your birthday. You may then play in the older division for the remaining tournaments after your birthday, but will not accrue any additional player of the year points. For any additional clarification on Player of the Year Points please call Tess at 319-648-0026.
