The Iowa PGA Junior Championship was held at Lake Panorama National Golf Course on Thursday, July 21 with just a little over 100 juniors 21 & Under participating. Juniors earned their spot in this event by participating in one of 6 local qualifiers across Iowa and western Illinois earlier this summer. Over 200 juniors participated for a chance to play in the Iowa Section Junior Championship. Thank you to Iowa PGA Professionals Greg Mason at Waverly GC, Gary Babcock, Lake Panorama National GC, Joe Schafer of Willow Creek GC, Ron Thrapp of Emeis GC, George Stephenson of Bunker Hill and Steve Charters of Twin Pines GC for their support in hosting a local qualifier for this event. The Iowa PGA would thank to thank Gary Babcock, PGA, the staff and membership of Lake Panorama a second time for their support in also hosting the Championship. Congratulations to everyone who qualified.
