The 1st Annual Junior Tour Team Event & Stroke Play is being held at Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City on July 18 with 90 juniors ages 12-21 competing. Juniors will compete as normal individually in a stroke play event in their respective division for Player of the Year Points and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies. They have also been teamed up with another junior in their age division to compete in a 1 best ball of 2 gross team event for 1st and 2nd place trophies. What fun for the kiddos – it was extremely hot but we managed! The Iowa PGA would like to continue to thank The Principal Charity Classic for their support at Title Sponsor and also Jay Horton, PGA and his business The Collegiate Prep Golf Academy for their support as Presenting Sponsor. The Iowa PGA could not have executed this great event without the support of Head PGA Professional at TCI Tony Hoyles, General Manager Josh Kuha, the entire staff and the volunteers. Event was shortened due to excessive heat with scoring only being taken on 9-holes for all divisions.
