The Iowa PGA Nationwide Classic was held Thursday, July 2 at The Wakonda Club in W. Des Moines. There were 137 participants in 9 age division. Juniors were treated to first class amenities at the Wakonda Club: breakfast hospitality for parents, complimentary club washing at the range, personalized bag tags and a great lunch to finish off the day. The Iowa PGA would like to thank head PGA Professional Ryan Rinnels, PGA General Manager Dave Schneider and the entire Wakonda staff and members for their wonderful hospitality.

Great course, very hard and the greens are fast. Very well run event every thing went well. I am not sure I under stand the rule on range finders, or DQ a girls foursome because they played the wrong tees. They made it harder not easier. I understand rules are rules, but the same rules should apply to range finders. Reading yardage is part of learning the game.
