2009 Iowa PGA Junior Golf Academy Participants

The 30th Annual Iowa PGA Junior Golf Academy will be held Sunday, June 13 through Thursday, June 17 at Pheasant Ridge GC and the University of Northern Iowa. The Academy is open to boys and girls 17 & under with a maximum capacity of 50 total students. John Bermel, head PGA Professional at Pheasant Ridge GC and also the head coach for the men and women’s golf team at UNI has been the lead instructor for the academy for over the last 10 years. He and his staff do an excellent job hosting this program. The Iowa PGA Junior Golf Academy also utilizes the men and women PGA Professionals of the Iowa Section as instructors for the students.

Participants in the Junior Golf Academy receive:

Four days intensive instruction from Iowa Section PGA professionals
Choice of evening recreation and educational programs
Average teaching ratio one pro to four students
Daily playing lessons and tournament competition supervised by PGA professionals
