We look forward to another great year of driving, chipping and putting! New Sponsor and also New age divisions for 2011. Junior golfers 15 years of age and younger will again have the opportunity to participate in local qualifiers across the Iowa PGA Section.
Age Divisions for Drive, Chip & Putt Contest
Boys 7 & under Girls 7 & Under
Boys 8-9 Girls 8-9
Boys 10-11 Girls 10-11
Boys 12-13 Girls 12-13
Boys 14-15 Girls 14-15
Junior golfers must participate in a local qualifier with the champions in each age division then advancing on to one of five regional qualifying sites. Regional qualifiers will be held at Pleasant Valley GC in Iowa City, Glynns Creek GC in Long Grove, Pheasant Ridge GC in Cedar Falls, Sugar Creek GC in Waukee and Jester Park in Granger. The top two regional qualifiers in each division will then advance to the finals.
New site for the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship – TPC Deere Run will host on August 13, 2011 at 4 p.m. Registration will start at 3 p.m. Please be checked in, warmed up and ready to go by 3:45 p.m. Finals will take approximately 2 1/2 hours, so please plan accordingly. The overall winner in each division will be crowned Champion and invited by the Iowa PGA to a University of Northern Iowa Basketball game later this year or January 2012 where they will be recognized on the court sometime during the game for their accomplishments. Champions will also be invited to attend the John Deere Classic Wednesday Pro Am first tee festivities!
This challenge is 3 tiered, testing the juniors driving, chipping and putting skills. Guidelines for 2011 will be available soon will additional information on local qualifiers. A great FREE or low cost event for any junior golfer. Stay tuned to this web site for the schedule or join the Iowa PGA Junior Tour and be updated throughout the year!

Local Qualifier at The Principal Charity ClassicRegister to participate in a local qualifier at The Principal Charity Classic at Glen Oaks CC on Saturday June 4. Juniors who place 1st and 2nd in their age division will have the opportunity to participate against a Champions Tour Professional! All juniors and an accompanying adult will be given free admission to the Principal Charity Classic that day. Juniors who finish 1st in their age division will advance to one of the five regionals later in the summer. |

The top winner in each division at the local competitions will advance to the regionals. There is no fee to participate in a regional qualifier or the finals. The top two winners in each division at the regional competition will advance to the finals. All local qualifier winners will be notified which regional they will attend and of the details.
