I played at Pekin High School. My dad had played against his dad in the 40s which my dad had told me about. One of my biggest thrills was meeting his dad one day while I was playing with Bobby in a medal play high school tournament when his dad came out on the course. I had asked Bobby about his dad and maybe he asked his dad to come out to say hi to me. In the 90s I was playing in an amateur tournament in southwest fl when I saw a picture of the 1934 Masters participants in the clubhouse and saw his dad in the picture.
