The 2008 First American Bank Iowa Open Golf Championship was held at Des Moines Golf & Country Club (South Course) on August 21st -23rd. This 54-Hole Iowa Section PGA administered event serves as Iowa’s premiere golf championship open to both amateur and professional golfers who reside in Iowa or attend college full time in the state.

The 106th Iowa Amateur Golf Championship will be held at Davenport Country Club on July 28th-30th.  The Iowa Section PGA would like to wish the best of luck to all competitors participating in Iowa’s biggest and most prestigious amateur event.  Tee times begin at 7:30 A.M. on Monday morning.

The 2008 Iowa Golf Association Four-Ball Championship was held at Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs on May 23-24.  The Iowa Section PGA would like to congratulate Jon Brown and Ty Stewart who won the Open Division by shooting eleven under par, 133.  Also, congratulations to Scott Carnes and Gary Engle for winning the Senior Division by shooting nine under par, 135.
