2023 PGA Winter Championship – Senior/Junior Team Round 3-
Riverside, Iowa –Five of our Iowa PGA Professionals are paired up as teams. Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf and Darin Fisher of The Preserve on Rathbun Lake, Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Golf Course and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club and Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club and his partner Benny Cook of Fort Pierce, Florida are competing in the Senior/Junior Team Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida on January 30 – February 2, 2023. This is a one best ball of two Team Championship.
Proehl and Giannetto carded birdies on holes 1, 2, 3, 7, 8. 12, 14, 17 and 18; bogeys on holes 9, 11, 13 and 15 which placed them 3rd place after the third round of play. Proehl and Giannetto’s three-day total rounds 62-65-63=190, 25-under-par. Their tee time for Thursday, February 2 on the Ryder Course at 9:20 AM.
McCarty and Cook carded birdies on holes 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 12, 13 and 16; bogeys on holes 5, 17 and 18 which placed them tied for 4th place after the third round of play. McCarty and Cook’s three-day total rounds 64-63-65=192, 23-under-par. Their tee time for Thursday, February 2 on the Ryder Course at 9:20 AM.
Gibb and Fisher carded birdies on holes 1, 2, 4, 7, 9, 13, 16 and 18; bogeys on holes 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 which placed them tied for 7th place after the second round of play. Gibb and Fisher’s three-day total rounds 64-65-64=193, 22-under-par. Their tee time for Thursday, February 2 on the Ryder Course at 8:58 AM.
