2022 PGA Winter Championship – Senior/Junior Team Round 3
Riverside, Iowa – Six of our Iowa PGA Professionals are paired up as teams. Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf and Darin Fisher of The Preserve on Rathbun Lake, Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Muncipal Golf Course and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club and Life Member Dave Ranney and Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club are competing in the Senior/Junior Team Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida on January 17-20, 2022. This is a one best ball of two Team Championship.
Gibb and Fisher carded birdies on holes 1, 3, 7, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 18 including bogeys on holes 4 and 17 which places them in 1st place going into the final round of play. Gibb and Fisher’s three-day total 60-65-66=191, 24-under-par. Their tee time for the final round of play on the Wanamaker Course at 9:35 AM.
Teams Proehl/Giannetto and Ranney/McCarty played but did not make the final cut of 13-under-par.
Proehl and Giannetto carded birdies on holes 1, 3, 7, 10 and 17. Proehl and Giannetto’s three-day total 64-71-68=203, 12-under-par.
Ranney and McCarty carded birdies on holes 1, 4, 5, 7, 11 and 14 including bogeys on holes 3 and 17. Ranney and McCarty’s three-day total 73-68-68=209, 6-under-par.
