2022 PGA Winter Championship – Senior/Junior Team Round 1
Riverside, Iowa – Six of our Iowa PGA Professionals are paired up as teams. Judd Gibb of Hanson’s Custom Golf and Darin Fisher of The Preserve on Rathbun Lake, Chad Proehl of Sugar Creek Muncipal Golf Course and Jay Giannetto of Elmwood Country Club and Life Member Dave Ranney and Sean McCarty of Brown Deer Golf Club are competing in the Senior/Junior Team Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida on January 17-20, 2022. This is a one best ball of two Team Championship.
Gibb and Fisher carded birdies on holes 3, 4, 5, 6,7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 15 and 17 which placed them currently sitting at 1st place after the first-round of play. Gibb and Fisher’s first-round total 29-31=60, 11-under-par. Their tee time for Tuesday, January 18 on the Dye Course at 11:40 AM.
Proehl and Giannetto carded birdies on holes 2, 3, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 18; an eagle on hole 1 including bogeys on holes 4 and 17 which placed them tied for 3rd place after the first round of play. Proehl and Giannett’s first-round total 31-33=64, 8-under-par. Their tee time for Tuesday, January on the Ryder Course at 9:57 AM.
Ranney and McCarty carded birdies on holes 9 and 13 including bogeys on holes 8, 15 and 17 which placed them tied for 88th place after the first-round of play. Ranney and McCarty’s first-round total 36-37=73, 1-over-par. Their tee times for Tuesday, January 18 on the Ryder Course 7:45 AM.
