The 2008 Iowa PGA Bridgestone Classic was held on Monday, June 16 at Carroll Country Club in Carroll, IA.  Brad Wuhs and Bridgestone Golf, title sponsor of the Iowa PGA Junior Tour, treated the players to a sleeve of Bridgestone golf balls before their round.  The juniors were also treated to a sunny day on the golf course while they competed at the 2nd Major Point Event of the Iowa PGA Junior Tour.  Nathan Hill from Treynor, IA (pictured) was on top of his game at Carroll Country Club scoring his 1st Hole in One of his career.  Nathan aced Hole #15, a 101 yard Par 3, using a 5 iron.  A special thank you to Nate Pettitt, Head Golf Professional at Carroll Country Club and his entire staff for hosting the event.

The 2008 Iowa PGA Junior Tour began the season at Copper Creek GC with its annual Kick Off on Friday, June 6 with 134 participants.  The course was a bit soggy, but the weather was warm and sunny for this first of eight Major events on the Iowa PGA Junior Tour.   Juniors ranging from 9-18 years of age both male and female were treated to a great tee gift of an umbrella (which hopefully they don’t they need this summer) courtesy of Brad Wuhs and Bridgestone Golf, sponsor of the 2008 Iowa PGA Junior Tour.  The Iowa PGA would like to thank Brad and Bridgestone for their support .  Also a special thanks to George Volger, Copper Creek GM and all his staff for hosting this event.  They did a great job getting the course ready even with all the rain this week.
